8 Shakespeare walked into a bar — OK, it’s more like, a theater company is bringing staged readings of Shakespeare to a local brewery. And other area theater companies are offering up murder mysteries. Musicals this fall go way beyond the classics — you can catch two productions of Carrie The Musical. Michael Witthaus looks at the screen-to-stage adaptations, new takes on classic tales and more headed to area stages this season.
