Superhero season — 05/04/23

Summer movie season begins Friday, May 5, with the release of another Marvel movie — can it and other summer releases help save the day for theaters looking to increase their ticket sales? On Saturday, May 6, you can find superheroes (and their stories) and more at Free Comic Book Day events. And on Saturday, May 13, younger fans can celebrate their own love of characters of all stripes (and books! and reading!) at the Kids Con New England. In this week’s cover story, we take a look at all these aspects of superhero season.
