The Merrimack Valley Military Vehicle Collectors Club will hold its annual Weare Rally today through Saturday, July 31. The event includes vendors (including food vendors), demonstrations, military vehicle displays and more. On Saturday, admission will cost $5 and the rally will be open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to mvmvc.org.

Thursday, July 29

At the Currier Museum of Art’s (150 Ash St. in Manchester; currier.org, 669-6144) weekly Art After Work, admission is free on Thursdays from 5 to 8 p.m. and you can enjoy live music, free tours and food and drink for sale in the Winter Garden Cafe. Today, the live musical performance is by Charlie Chronopoulos and the tours are of the exhibits “Tomie dePaola at the Currier” (at 5:30 p.m.) and “Roberto Lugo: Te traigo mi le lo lai — I bring you my joy” (at 6:30 p.m.). Advance online registration is recommended, according to the website.

The Nashua Silver Knights will play the Westfield Starfires today at 6 p.m. with fireworks to follow the game at Holman Stadium (67 Amherst St. in Nashua). The Silver Knights will face Westfield again on Sunday, Aug. 1, in a doubleheader, the first game of which starts at 3 p.m. Tickets to games start at $8 for adults, $6 for kids. Lucas Gallo plays Fletcher-Murphy Park (28 Fayette St. in Concord) today at 6 p.m. as part of the Bank of New Hampshire Stage’s Music in the Park Series. Gallo released his newest EP, Time, last week. Tickets cost $12 plus a $3 fee; see banknhstage.com.

Olympic competition continues this week, as does the competition at the Doggy Olympics, a series of activities held by the New Hampshire Dog Walking Club. Today at 10 a.m. it’s the Canine Fitness Challenge at Canine Strong in Concord. Or perhaps the Bubble Catching Game on Monday, Aug. 2, 6:30 p.m. at Friendly Pets Dog Park in Lee is more your dog’s speed. Take the kids to Greeley Park in Nashua for a Fairy Tale Concert with Party Palace, which starts at 11 a.m. The event is part of the city’s SummerFun programming (see nashuanh.gov) and kids are invited to dress up as their favorite fairy tale characters, according to the brochure, which also said the event will feature princesses interacting with the kids for singing, dancing and more.

The New Hampshire Fisher Cats have home games at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium (1 Line Drive in downtown Manchester; nhfishercats.com) on the schedule through Sunday, July 25, against the Reading Fightin’ Phils. Games today through Saturday, July 24, start at 7:05 p.m.; Sunday’s game starts at 1:05 p.m. Catch fireworks from Atlas Fireworks after the games today and Saturday. Today is also NASA/Space Day and Sunday’s theme is Nickelodeon’s Blue’s Clues and You, with activities for kids. On Friday the Fisher Cats celebrate Christmas in July, with Christmas music and lights and an ornament giveaway for the first 500 fans, according to the website, where you can purchase tickets.

There are three days of Nashua Silver Knights games this weekend at Holman Stadium (67 Amherst St. in Nashua). Tonight’s game against the Worcester Bravehearts starts at 6 p.m. and features post-game fireworks. Browse the Concord Arts Market today from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Rollins Park (33 Bow St. in Concord). The market featuring pieces from artisans and fine artists is a monthly event this summer (the third Saturday of each month), featuring more artists and artisan vendors (50 vendors at each market) as well as food, musicians and more, according to the event’s website, concordartsmarket.net. Next month, the Concord Arts Market will be at Intown Concord’s Market Days, Aug. 19 through Aug. 21 (10 a.m. to 8 p.m.).

The Currier Museum of Art (150 Ash St. in Manchester; currier.org, 669-6144) will host a free mini block party today. The afternoon will include activities for all ages, according to the website, where you can make reservations for the 3 to 5:30 p.m. time block or the 5:30 to 8 p.m. time block. There will be ceramics-related activities and demonstrations, kids art activities, live music, a beer and wine tent, free access to the gallery and food for sale — an outdoor pizza kitchen, the Winter Garden Café and two food trucks, B’s Tacos and Tim’s Drunken Sauces and Rubs.

Sunday, July 18

“A family-friendly indie band hailing from Maine” is how Bee Parks and The Hornets is described in the lineup for the Music on the Meeting House Green Series at the Canterbury Shaker Village (288 Shaker Road in Canterbury; shakers.org, 783-9511). Bring a picnic and a chair to enjoy the concert outdoors on the green, which starts at 4 p.m. There is a $10 per person suggested donation, according to the website.

Or enjoy the sounds of the Piano Man with Cold Spring Harbor: The Ultimate Billy Joel Tribute Band featuring Ben Eramo in Stark Park (550 River Road in Manchester), performing as part of the Friends of Stark Park 2021 summer music series (which runs Sundays through Aug. 29). Hillsboro Summerfest starts today and runs through Sunday at Grimes Field, 29 Preston St. in Hillsborough. Admission is free but bring money for parking ($10), the midway and carnival rides, beer tent, food vendors and more. The hours are 6 to 10 p.m. on Thursday, 5 to 11 p.m. on Friday, noon to 11 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday. Catch live music (Decatur Creek on Thursday, Lonesome Train on Friday and Mosey Down on Saturday), fireworks on Saturday, a tractor pull on Friday, a women’s skillet toss on Saturday and a parade and a car and truck show on Sunday. Also on Sunday, children ages 10 and under can take part in a cupcake eating contest at 1 p.m. and there will be a pie eating contest at 1:30 p.m. Work up an appetite on Friday evening at the 5K race. Find more fair fun at the Raymond Town Fair on the town common, which starts today and will run through Sunday, July 11. Find them on Facebook @raymondtownfair, where you can see pictures of the bouncy jousting and climbing equipment and get updated on the scheduled live music (Carbon 14 will perform tonight at 6 p.m.). Tonight’s entertainment also includes a fire truck parade, a library book sale, a silent auction and bingo. The Saturday lineup includes a pancake breakfast, a town-wide yard sale, kid activities, a motorcycle show and fireworks. On Sunday, there will be more pancake breakfast, a fun run and a dog parade.

The Prescott Park Art Festival’s annual summer musical opens today. You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown will run at the park through Sunday, Aug. 15, with shows at 7 p.m. on Thursdays and Sundays and at 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Go to prescottpark.org to reserve a table or blanket space.

Friday, July 9

It’s a weekend of baseball! The New Hampshire Fisher Cats are in the middle of a run of home games at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium (1 Line Drive in downtown Manchester; nhfishercats.com) against the Portland Sea Dogs through Sunday, July 4. The games start at 7:05 p.m. Games Friday through Sunday will feature fireworks, including a “4th of July Fireworks Extravaganza” on Sunday.

Get some laughs this holiday weekend with comedian Mark Scalia performing tonight at 8:30 p.m. at Chunky’s Cinema Pub in Manchester (707 Huse Road; chunkys.com). Tickets cost $20.

Sunday, July 4
Nashua will once again hold a Fourth of July fireworks, tonight at 9 p.m.-ish, according to the Nashua Public Works Facebook page. Holman Stadium will open its doors at 5 p.m. and there will be a Holman Stadium Hall of Fame presentation at 8 p.m., the post said. Food will be sold at the concession stand and from food trucks. The Currier Museum of Art (150 Ash St. in Manchester; currier.org, 669-6144) inches closer to opening by holding a member preview weekend today through Sunday, Aug. 16. Go online to reserve timed tickets for members (memberships currently start at $50 for an individual, $80 for a household). The Currier will open to the general public on Thursday, Aug. 20, when it will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., with music from Paul Nelson starting at 5 p.m. The Currier is recommending about two-hour gallery visits and safety protocols include wearing masks, offering hand sanitizer and more.

Friday, Aug. 14
The Fisher Cats kick off their “Socially Distanced Concert Series at the Stadium” with David Clark’s Songs in the Attic (the music of Billy Joel) tonight at 7 p.m. (the gates open at 5:30 p.m.) at Delta Dental Stadium in downtown Manchester. Tomorrow, Saturday, Aug. 15, catch Changes in Latitude (the music of Jimmy Buffett), also at 7 p.m. Tickets to either show cost $23. See NHFisherCats.com. Enjoy a mid-week evening of relaxation with a live performance of the band Crossroads at the Merrimack Parks & Recreation Summer Concert Series in Abbie Griffin Park (6 Baboosic Lake Road) tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. Bring blankets and dinner; organizers ask for masks and social distancing, the website said. Add a little sweetness to these final days before school starts with La Belle Winery’s cupcake frosting and decorating class for kids on Aug. 21, from noon to 1 p.m. The cost is $29 per kid and kids will make their own frosting and decorate their cupcake (and then eat it), according to the website, which also recommends that parents can enjoy lunch in the Bistro during the event. The event will take place at the winery (345 Route 101 in Amherst; labellewinerynh.com) and is recommended for ages 9 and up; register in advance, the website said.
