The 51st Annual NH Highland Games & Festival kicks off its weekend at Loon Mountain in Lincoln on Friday, Sept. 18, running through Sunday, Sept. 20, according to a press release. The event features live music, Highland Dance, heavy athletics, sheep dog trials, competitions and demonstrations, pageantry and more, including “try it” classes in street curling, stone lifting and more, the website said. “The Tartan Army left its loving heart on the people of Boston during the World Cup, with countless moments of kindness and generosity,” said Josh Auger, President of NHSCOT, host of the NH Highland Games & Festival in the statement. “This year’s festival leans into celebrating the history, culture and people who embody that indomitable spirit. We invite everyone to come and celebrate the Scots and learn more about their heritage.” The festival also features Clan Village, Vendor Village, food vendors and more, the press release said.
